The LIVING GOD #OFFSPRING

I don’t think I ever thought of being #God’s #Offspring until studying Acts 17.  Definition of  offspring is stated as a child or children; a descendant , however remote from the original stock.  Now that I am a great grandmother, I have a better understanding of what Paul was saying to those listening to him on Mars’ Hill in Athens.  “God that made the world and all things therein and seeing that He is Lord of heaven and earth…….has given to all life and breath; and has made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth…..that they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him and find Him, though He be not far from every one of us; for in Him We Live, and Move, and have our being…for  WE ARE HIS OFFSPRING. Forasmuch then WE ARE THE OFFSPRING OF GOD.”  Webster’s Dictionary’s last explanation for offspring states the result is FRUIT.

What happens when a Christian has a little #doubt occur?  How does Christ react when His disciples show doubt?  What happens when a batter takes his eye off the ball?  What happens when we get distracted by the current situation or about the future?  What can we do about doubt?

The LIVING GOD #PERFORMS

#Violence, #Barbarism, #Massacres, and all manner of #Carnage are happening right now as displayed on the internet and TV.  While #Evil is thrust before our eyes to make us #fearful, Ps.56:11 “In #GOD will I put my trust; I will not be afraid what man can do unto me…13God has delivered my soul from death:  will He not deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?”  Recently, I was told that a Sunday School teacher was telling others to not admit you’re a Christ follower for you could be a target.  I pray we will follow God’s word rather than the fear mongers.  Ps.56:3 “What time I am afraid, I will trust in God…I will praise His word…I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.”  Ps.57 “Be merciful unto me, O God, for my soul trusts in Thee; in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.  I will cry unto God most high; GOD WHO PERFORMS ALL THINGS FOR ME.  He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up.  GOD shall send forth His Mercy and Truth.”

How important is a #name?  Would you rather share a name with #Lebron or #TedBundy?  Take Jordan Gabriel, for instance.  That is my new grandson’s name and it has a rich biblical heritage.  What about Christ followers?  By which names are we known and what do they mean?
