THE LIVING GOD – HEART

#HEARTS are displayed all around us in February.  #Mojis depict all manner of  ways to immediately display heart felt emotions to loved ones with one touch on your #IPhone.  While our #technology has surged forward, has it improved our communication skills?  I observe that the IPhone truly has emboldened the magnitude of  “I”.   Self centeredness is sooo apparent today.  Notice your conversations or communications that start with “I”.   Can you remember the last time that you actually put someone else’s needs before your own wants?  Acquiring abundance seems to me to be evident on TV all the while setting life style examples for excessiveness.  “Jesus said, ‘Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is there will your heart be also‘ Matt.6:20,21″  What does that have to do with my heart, you ask?  I attribute this attitude to a hardened heart.  “If you hear God’s voice, do not harden your hearts.” Heb.4:7  What happens to a hard heart?  It turns black because their is no life blood flowing through it.  “May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the steadfastness of Christ.” 11Thess.3:5  Now we were made in the image of God; so does GOD have a heart?  Psalm 33:11 says “The COUNSEL and PLANS of the LORD’S HEART STANDS FOREVER FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION”  May we ask the Lord for a red, red flowing beating heart not hardened with the burdens of sin by claiming Psalm 51 as our own.  “Deliver me from blood guiltiness O God, my salvation.  Purify me, wash me, and CREATE IN ME A CLEAN HEART”    !! ALERT!! – You have a message..Direct from GOD …*Father, God is sharing from His Heart His Undying Love for YOU by giving you ‘the gift’ of eternal life via the sacrificial, substitutional death on the cross of His Only Son, Jesus Christ *… ACCEPTANCE REQUIRED…

What brings people #together despite different #backgrounds, #politics, #races, or anything else?  It is the fellowship of Believers.  Does this mean excluding non-believers?  How are we to receive each other?  Is it based on who they are or what they can do?  We may not exclude the poor but, do we get just as excited to see them?  How about someone of another race?  How do we receive one another based on Grace?

THE LIVING GOD – JUSTICE

from Barbara's Bible

Have you ever heard so many #controversial #opinions by supposedly intelligent people who are filling our #phones, #computers, #radios, and #televisions with their agenda!   I don’t know about you, but I am tired of  ‘their opinion’.   “Just give me the facts, Mame!”  Truth via 2018 communication seems hard to attain.  One would think with all our technology that truth could be acquired.  Is it man or machine or GOD that holds the key to justice?  Jesus tells a parable to show that at all times we ought to pray and not lose heart which is recorded in Luke 18:2-8  “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God, and did not respect man.  There was a widow in that city who kept coming to him, saying, ‘Give me legal protection from my opponent’  For awhile he was unwilling, but afterward, he said to himself, ‘Even though I do not fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow bothers me, I will give her legal protection, lest by continually coming she wear me out’  Lord said, ‘Hear what the unrighteous judge said:  now shall not God bring about justice for His elect, who cry to Him day and night and will He delay long over them?  I TELL YOU THAT HE WILL BRING ABOUT JUSTICE FOR THEM SPEEDILY”    God has no need for our lie detectors to know if someone is telling the truth.  Ps.89:14 “Righteousness and JUSTICE are the foundation of the Lord’s throne:  lovingkindness and truth go before Thee. ”   I want to read and listen to God’s Word as He sheds light on the many worldly words spoken today. John 8:31,21 Jesus said, “If you abide in My word, then you are truly my disciples, and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free!”
