Continuing Brother Tommy’s series on building each other up is this installment carrying the most repeated and all-encompassing instruction of Love One Another. I have also included again this week another message to hold you over until next week. Forgive the lateness this afternoon of my post. It is the first day of summer break and all schedules have gone out the window.

Okay well, I had to make a separate post to get the message uploaded. But here is the next message to go with the first message I posted.

You have heard it said that this world is “every man for himself.” I have also heard from time to time that if you don’t put yourself first, nobody else will. But what does the Bible say about how we should treat each other. In this series Brother Tommy gives us the places found in the Bible where we can find out what God has told us about this subject and expounds on many of them. This first message is about honoring each other. Look in the comments section for the companion message about being of the same mind with each other.
Side note for history buffs: this series was originally recorded starting in September 1983.

Things don’t just happen. God either causes them to happen or He allows them to happen. How does that mean we as Christians are to view luck or fate? How do we interpret our circumstances? Which ones are stop signs and which ones mean go? So out of these three methods of God’s guidance (in the Word, in the Heart, in Circumstances), which is the most important? Listen for the ship and lighthouse illustration for the answer.
It has been an extreme blessing going through this series with you. I hope you have learned as much about God’s guidance as I have these past few weeks. Watch next week for a new series.

God’s voice real or not? “God dwells in us in order to guide us toward Him.” God’s voice in your life is normal…IF you are in tune. Brother Tommy explains that this voice is beyond our normal five senses. He goes on to conclude that it makes our ability to “hear” God’s voice an Extra Sensory Perception. Bet you didn’t know you had ESP! Of course along with this gift comes the responsibility of discernment. Brother Tommy backs all of these claims up with strong scriptural promises. Enjoy.

This week I am calling an audible. Last week I thought we would be continuing straight through Brother Tommy’s series on God’s guidance. But as I have pondered and prayed about how best to present this information, the Lord has led me to the conclusion that we need to go straight to the meat of this series about the primary sources of God’s guidance; in His Word, in your heart, and in your circumstances. Later I will make available some of the previous sermons where he expands on secondary sources and the preparation we need to take in order to receive instruction. However, Brother Tommy neatly summarizes these topics in the first ten minutes of this installment called God’s Guidance given in His Word.

Brother Tommy describes in great detail what he means by God’s guidance. For instance, God sends more guidance to His children than to those who ignore Him, much like we give more guidance to our own children versus our neighbors’ children. Why not? He knows us better than we know ourselves.
