Two Sides Of The Same Story

19810726 Two Sides Of The Same Story - Rev. Tommy Jones

How can two people live through the same experience and come out with two different versions?  Putting aside any deception on the part of either one, the difference can be ascribed to perspective.  This can be illustrated by thinking about our own burdens versus those of others.  The law says we should bear one another’s burdens.  But what motivates us to fulfill this law?  What are some of these burdens we are supposed to help others to bear?  What are burdens of necessity?  How do they differ from burdens of sorrow?  And most importantly how do we help someone with their burden of fault?  Is it possible to do the right thing in the wrong way?  Is meekness synonymous with weakness?  How much thought should we put into our motive and approach to helping others?  How much help is too much?  How do we examine ourselves first?  How do we deal with the Lord and can we do that for others?

Faith That Follows

19820725pm Faith That Follows - Rev. Tommy Jones

Have you ever seen or been a part of a team building exercise?  Sometimes they have people fall backwards into a group of their peers to build trust.  Faith begins with trust, and the only one I can trust to have my back 100% of the time is the one true God, the Creator of the Universe.  As a matter of fact, the Bible says to trust the Lord even when it is counter to our own opinion.  Let’s say you have no problem trusting God, but how do you live it?  Where does following in faith lead?  Have you ever asked for directions to a specific item in a big box store?  I find it much faster and am less likely to give up my search if the person giving directions accompanies me all the way instead of just pointing and telling.  What kind of assistance do you think our Lord and Savior wants to provide?

Grace To Be Saved

19860824 Grace To Be Saved - Rev. Tommy Jones

Grace is not just a girl’s name.  It has more meaning in the secular world and it has much more meaning in the Bible.  What is grace according to the Word of God?  If we don’t deserve God’s Love and Power, how can we say that we can lay claim to it?  What does Faith have to do with it?  What works or deeds are required?  How does grace make Christianity different from other religions?  When did God’s grace begin?  What does grace do?  If we are not saved by our own good works or deeds, does that mean we should never attempt to do good things?

False Teachers

19871115pm False Teachers - Rev. Tommy Jones

How do you know whether the message you are receiving is true or false?  What if the leader of your church says all faiths lead to God?  What if the ruling body of your group decides that marriage needs a new definition?  Does your preacher talk about how you can claim blessings instead of how you are to be a blessing for others?  If your church’s main claim to fame is hatred of a group of people, you might want to hear this message.  Are there false teachers within the church?  Did the Bible warn us this would happen?  What are the results of false teaching?  Is it a danger to believers?  What happens to false teachers and their followers?  What does this have to do with submission and rebellion?  What does law have to do with liberty?

God wants to guide you through this world with proper teaching, the first step is accepting his Son as Lord and Savior.  Start by clicking here:

Victory Song

19830522pm Victory Song - Rev. Tommy Jones

What Psalm is quoted 15 times in the New Testament?  Why is it so important?  To whom does it refer?  How does this Psalm detail the divinity of Jesus Christ?  What evidence is there for His ruling authority?  How long will Christ’s kingdom last and what will it be like?  What does it mean to us that not only is Jesus Christ the king, but also the priest?  In total this Psalm, or song, written by David show us four roles that Jesus Christ will or has assumed.  What implications does the fourth and final role have for non-believers?

Life On Both Sides Of Death

19830724pm Life On Both Sides Of Death - Rev. Tommy Jones

How did #JesusChrist change the way we look at #life and #death?  How did He show us by His words and example how to live?  Why do we say He conquered death?  Can we all conquer death since our Lord did it?  Will everyone experience victory over death?  This message was presented before the Lord’s Supper, a ceremony performed in churches to fulfill Christ’s wish to do so in remembrance of Him.

A Father of God’s Own Choosing

As a father myself I can understand sacrificing for my children, but I cannot say that I would have passed God’s test of Abraham to physically sacrifice his only child. However, I have given them over to the Lord many times in prayer. How does the World say a father acts? Where has that left our society? What did Abraham show us about how to relate to God, others, and even our children? In God’s ideal family, who leads spiritually? How should a father align his priorities?

In order to be a Godly father, you must start a relationship with Him first. Start by clicking here: https://www.findbibletruth.com/?page_id=105

Does It Pay To Serve Jesus?

19870802 Does It Pay To Serve Jesus - Rev. Tommy Jones

Why do bad things happen to good people and vice versa? First off, is it every time and every situation? Do non-believers fear the future? Should they? Can it make the believers envious? How do these non-believers handle their success? What does a good parent do to their own kids, but won’t do to other people’s? Do non-believers ever pay the piper? Do other Christians ever have doubts? Where can these fears be relieved? What is the long term prognosis, the big picture?

God can handle your questions, just make sure you find the right answers. Start by clicking here: https://www.findbibletruth.com/?page_id=105
