Edify (to build up) one another. Why should we? Because we, as believers, are all part of one body. Do all parts of the body function the same way? Just because your eye differs from your hand, should your hand attack your eye? Absolutely not, they should work together.

It is one of the hardest things for us to do. We don’t want to be weak or to have people take advantage of us. But we have the ultimate example, Christ died for us to buy our forgiveness of sins from God the Father. And with His help we can fulfill this commandment. How many times do we have to forgive? What are the proper steps to forgiving others?

#2 for today. Brother Tommy starts with the Good Samaritan story. Did you know that all the people that passed by the Jewish man that needed help that day were supposed to be his ‘friends’ and that the Samaritans and Jews did not even talk to each other? That makes it even more amazing to me that he stopped to help this stranger.

How hard is it for you to let your spouse or friend have their way when you want your way? How about when it is someone you just met? The World says ‘get ahead at the expense of others.’ But what does the Bible say about the right way to make progress in life? How far do we take this? Do we submit to everyone? You have heard it said that this world is “every man for himself.” I have also heard from time to time that if you don’t put yourself first, nobody else will. But what does the Bible say about how we should treat each other. In this series Brother Tommy gives us the places found in the Bible where we can find out what God has told us about this subject and expounds on many of them. This first message is about honoring each other. Look in the comments section for the companion message about being of the same mind with each other.
