“That was a #bitter #pill to #swallow!” That is a cliche which I have heard and said all my life. How about YOU? Maybe you have said, “Just take it with a grain of #salt” or “A spoonful of #sugar makes the medicine go down” We know life has many circumstances that require some needed HELP. However, pills can have the ultimate fatal solution. I observe a society that thinks drugs will not only give them relief, but let them escape into another place by simply taking a bitter pill adding some salt, and then sprinkling it with sugar! The LORD SWALLOWED that bitter pill for you so you can be reconciled to Him with a fulfilled life and eternal joy. Isaiah 25:8,9 “HE WILL SWALLOW UP DEATH IN VICTORY; (1Corth.15:54-57 “Death is SWALLOWED UP IN VICTORY. O death, where is thy sting: O grave, where is thy victory: The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.) and the LORD GOD WILL WIPE AWAY TEARS FROM OFF ALL FACES; and the rebuke of His people shall He take away from off all the earth: for the LORD HAS SPOKEN IT. It shall be said in that day Lo, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us; this is the LORD; …we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.” Isaiah 26:3,4 “Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusts in Thee. Trust in the LORD FOREVER, for in the LORD JEHOVAH IS EVERLASTING STRENGTH” That is no placebo (medicine given merely to satisfy a patient or just a soothing word) “TASTE AND SEE that the LORD IS GOOD; blessed is the man that trusts in Him” Ps.34:8
