This heat and humidity of the South makes me want to sit inside with air conditioning not outside under a shady magnolia sipping iced tea. Reminds me of the Southern Ladies of the past – no wonder they had swooning (fainting) couches. I start to feel faint when the temp is 99 with relative humidity 77 per cent. Yesterday as I was driving on a two lane country road, the sensor light appeared on the dashboard so I immediately turned off the air conditioner and opened the windows – that will make you feel faint! The whole time, the Lord and I talked while I claimed His Word and strength. “Do you not know; Have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, FAINTS NOT, neither is He weary. There is no searching of His understanding. He gives power to the FAINT; and to them that have no might he increases strength. Even youths shall FAINT and be weary, and young men shall utterly fall: but they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and NOT FAINT.” Isaiah 40:28-31 (p.s.
