My father and three uncles left to fight in WWll when I was a young child. I only heard guarded war reports on the radio after the battles took place. I saw newsreels in theaters where I took the aluminum from the gum wrappers that I made into recycled balls. I learned of death of a soldier from a plaque with a star placed in the window which had been sent from the war department to that family. Today we see war and death 24/7 on internet, TV, and our cellphones. Do we care?
