How About Heaven

What are your long term #investment goals?  What do we know about #Heaven?  As a #Christian, what is promised to us?  Is it a literal, physical place?  What change will occur to us before we enter?  If you get all your information from children’s stories, you may be surprised by the amount of activity involved in Heaven.  What will it be like to be in the presence of God without the barrier of sin and shame?  What is the purpose of the description of the tabernacle in Heaven?  What can we glean from the description given of the heavenly city and the garden?  How can you make sure that you are going to be there?

The LIVING GOD #WILL

#I seems to me the most used word in our vocabulary today.  Have #you noticed that most conversations start with “I”?   Even most of  the church praise songs begin with “I”.  Do you think we are a self-centered society that no longer cares what GOD thinks?  While reading Ezekiel 36, I am brought to my knees before the Lord God..v.22 LORD GOD SAID; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for MINE HOLY NAMES’S  SAKE, which you have profaned among the heathen whither you went.  v.23 I WILL SANCTIFY MY GREAT NAME which was profaned among the the heathen…and the heathen shall know that I AM LORD, says the LORD GOD, when I WILL BE HONORED IN YOU before their eyes. v.25 I WILL …CLEANSE YOU from all your idols. v.26 I WILL...GIVE YOU A NEW HEART AND A NEW SPIRIT  v.27 I WILL put MY spirit within you and CAUSE YOU to walk in my statutes and keep my judgments and do them.  v.28 You will dwell in the land I gave to your fathers and you shall be my people and I WILL BE YOUR GOD  v.29 I WILL SAVE YOU from all your uncleannesses  v.33 Lord God said, In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities, I WILL cause you to dwell in cities, and the wastes shall be builded from the desolate land…and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced and are inhabited. v.36 then the heathen left round about shall know that I THE LORD  build the ruined places and plant that which was barren; I the LORD have spoken it and I WILL DO IT...v.38 As the holy flock, .of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men; and THEY SHALL KNOW THAT I AM THE LORD.  

No Doubt

What causes you to doubt?  The rise of #ISIS, when your favorite celebrity or leader gets caught in a #scandal, or maybe your faith is rattled when the #stockmarket plunges.  Misplaced faith causes great confusion in this life.  Is God strong enough to answer your questions?  Is Jesus’ victory over sin and death nullified by others claiming to have better answers?  Do Believers ever have doubts?  What kind of doubts are healthy?  What causes doubt to occur?  Emotions are a good and necessary thing but what happens when they are trusted too much?  What is the cure for doubt?  Check out the last two minutes, Brother Tommy closes this message with an especially helpful tip for us today.

The LIVING GOD #I AM

We hear what all the #politicians say about their abilities to #govern, but what does the #Bible say about ultimate #authority?  Ezekiel 20:19,20,33 “I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD walk in MY STATUTES and keep MY JUDGMENTS, and DO THEM; sanctify MY SABBATHS; and they shall be a sign between ME and YOU that you may know that I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD.  AS I LIVE, says the LORD GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, WILL I RULE OVER YOU”  Col.2:8 “Beware that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.  For in Him all the fulness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority...3:17 “whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him. . .3;23 .. knowing that of the Lord you shall receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.  But he that does wrong shall receive for the wrong which he has done; and there is no respect of persons with GOD.”  Choices  –  Words  –  Actions –  Recorded   by the GREAT  I  AM  are only erased by the precious blood of the lamb, Jesus!  How long since you walked in God’s statutes? kept His judgments? and sanctified His Sabbath? by worshiping the LORD GOD, who is the LIVING I AM with final authority!  

New Birth

How do we become a #child of #God?  How can we be #bornagain?  What did Jesus tell people who thought they had been good enough?  What is it about God’s nature that requires a fresh start?  What comes with this new birth?  I hope that if you have listened to this message and want to become a child of God, that you will go to the Gift link on the front page of FindBibleTruth.com and say the prayer that will make you my brother or sister in Christ.  In the weeks to come we will build on this decision and go through some other messages that will expand your knowledge of what God expects from those of us who have been born again.
