#Strife, #Violence, #Destruction are constantly before us today. No wonder we get #weary.. As I read God’s Bible, I find these words of #wisdom. Prov.17:11 “An evil man seeks only rebellion” Prov.17:15 “He that justifies the wicked, and he that condemns the just are both an #abomination to the Lord.” Romans 13:9-14 “Let us walk honestly in the day; not rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envy. You shall love your neighbor as yourself – love works no evil to his neighbor..Now is high time to awake out of sleep…..the night is far spent the day is at hand: let us cast off the works of darkness, and put on the armor of LIGHT ..put on the LORD JESUS CHRIST.” 11Sam.22:29 “For THOU ART MY CANDLE, O LORD; and the LORD will lighten my darkness”

The LIVING GOD #TESTS

Georgia has stopped the #test for seniors to receive their high school diploma and even made it retro active for all those who completed the required attendance and courses. No one likes tests, yet life is filled with testing. Tests are difficult, yet we want certified professionals in every field. What does the Bible say about testing? Jer. 11:20 “the LORD OF HOSTS TESTS THE MIND AND HEART”…17:10″I the LORD TEST the MIND even to give each man according to his ways according to the results of his deeds” Are you the exception? Jer.20:12 “LORD TESTS THE RIGHTEOUS” Prov.17:3 “Refining pot is for silver, and furnace for gold; but the LORD TRIES (TESTS) THE HEARTS” 1Peter1:6-9 “…you have been distressed by various trials that TEST YOUR FAITH, being more precious than gold that is perishable, even though TESTED by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; and though you have not seen HIM, you love HIM and though you do not see HIM now, but believe in HIM, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your soul.” Now that’s a graduation diploma with the LORD’S SEAL.

Whose #looking at #YOU NOW? Ever play #hide and #seek? Jeremiah 23:24 “Can a man hide himself in hiding places, so I DO NOT SEE HIM: declares the Lord.” Which satellite, computer, tv, or phone is watching you? Yet, before all this technology existed Jeremiah 16:15,17 tells us “As the LORD LIVES…..MY EYES are on all their ways. They are not hidden from my face nor is their iniquity concealed from MY EYES” I am shocked with so many people wanting to expose their debased behavior before God and the world without shame. Jeremiah 32:19 “Lord, God great in counsel and mighty deeds, whose EYES ARE OPEN TO ALL THE WAYS of the sons of men, giving to everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his deeds.” Jer.20:12 “LORD SEES THE MIND AND THE HEART” 1Sam.16:7″…. GOD SEES NOT AS MAN SEES, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD LOOKS AT THE HEART.”

Got yourself in a #pickle? Started out nice and fresh, but things turned sour? Do you need #HELP? “Who you gonna call?” God’s Word tells us in Isaiah 52:3 “…you will be redeemed without money” (that’s not a lawyer) Is.47:4 “As for our REDEEMER, the LORD of HOSTS is His name. The Holy One of Israel.” Is.53:4 “He bore our grief and carried our sorrow…was wounded for our transgressions…with His stripes we are healed. 12.He bore the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors. 63:9″…in His love and mercy HE REDEEMED THEM.” Rev.5:9 “Jesus, lamb of God has REDEEMED US TO GOD by His blood, kindred from every tongue, people and nation” Is.63:16 “…O Lord, our father, our REDEEMER, thy name is from everlasting” Job.29:25 “I know that MY REDEEMER LIVES” Upon whom will YOU CALL?

All things were done that the scripture should be fulfilled…a bone of him (Jesus) shall not be broken…They shall look on him whom they pierced. Luke 23:36,37 “Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. The veil of the temple was rent (torn) from top to bottom; and the earthquaked and the rocks rent. Matthew 27:50-60…That evening Joseph of Arimathaea went to Pilate begged the body of Jesus and Pilate commanded the body be delivered. Joseph took the body, (Nicodemus came and brought myrrh and aloes John19:38) wrapped it in clean linen cloth and laid it in his own new tomb which he had hewn out in the rock and rolled a great stone to the door ….Next day chief priests and Pharisees came to Pilate saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver(Jesus) said, while he was alive, ‘After three days I will rise again.‘ …so they made the sepulchre secure by sealing the stone and setting a watch. As it began the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Salome brought sweet spices to anoint Jesus body in the sepulchre and behold there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came – rolled back the stone and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning and raiment white as snow. Angel said to the women, Fear not: for I know that you seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for HE IS RISEN come and see the place where the Lord lay. The LIVING GOD #SWEAT

#GOD did become #human through #Jesus Christ! Do we think that much about GOD experiencing our humanity? Talk about a humbling encounter for GOD. He experienced pain, labor, hunger, rejection, lies, anger and ridicule – yet, He showed love through it all. As Jesus went into the garden of Gethsemane that evening to pray to God, his father, He had all the weight of our sins upon Him. Luke 22:42 “Father, if Thou art willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Thine be done. An angel from heaven appeared unto Him, strengthening Him. being in agony He was praying very fervently, and HIS SWEAT BECAME LIKE DROPS OF BLOOD, falling down on the ground.” The chief priests, officers of the temple and elders arrested Jesus and after torture had Him crucified. Jesus Christ loved us so much He willing gave himself as a sacrifice to die for our sins. Heb.9:22 “According to the Law, one may say all things are cleansed with blood, without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin” “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.” Rom. 5:8,9

The LIVING GOD #FLIES

Many moons ago, I walked morning to elementary school and back home afternoons (a mile each way) on the High Plains of the #Texas Panhandle where the wind bl-o-ws! I remember having a recurrent childhood dream of being pushed by the wind and then I would lift my legs and be carried on the wind over my house thereby lowering my legs to walk up the steps to my front door. Swift & Neat. Yes, that was my childish wish/dream, but God’s Word tells us of His wonders beyond even our comprehension in 2015. “The LORD reigns, let the people tremble: He is enthroned above the cherubim…”Ps.99:1 “He bowed the heavens also and came down and darkness was under His feet. HE rode upon a cherub, and DID FLY, and HE DID FLY ON THE WINGS OF THE WIND.” Ps.18:9,10

The LIVING GOD #OFFSPRING

I don’t think I ever thought of being #God’s #Offspring until studying Acts 17. Definition of offspring is stated as a child or children; a descendant , however remote from the original stock. Now that I am a great grandmother, I have a better understanding of what Paul was saying to those listening to him on Mars’ Hill in Athens. “God that made the world and all things therein and seeing that He is Lord of heaven and earth…….has given to all life and breath; and has made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth…..that they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him and find Him, though He be not far from every one of us; for in Him We Live, and Move, and have our being…for WE ARE HIS OFFSPRING. Forasmuch then WE ARE THE OFFSPRING OF GOD.” Webster’s Dictionary’s last explanation for offspring states the result is FRUIT.
