Are you able to see #God by His works?  Are you ready to know God by His ways?  Some people refuse to acknowledge God’s existence, despite all of the evidence to the contrary.  Others believe in God but don’t think it is possible to know Him.  And yet, Moses showed us that it is not only possible to know about God but also to know Him in a relationship.  What difference does it make?  What is the difference between a testifier and a teacher?  What makes us panic about God’s actions versus having peace about it?  What difference can knowing God’s ways make in your prayer life?  How can you get to know God’s ways?

No matter what you do for a living, God has a plan for your work.  Is everyday work sacred?  What kind of opportunities can you find at work to serve the Lord?  Is work supposed to be separate from your spiritual life?  Why doesn’t God put all believers into perfect environments?  What does it mean to be ‘in the world, but not of the world’?  What is the difference between your calling and the way you make a living?  What are some right and wrong ways to witness at work?

THE LIVING GOD – EYES

This morning I was awakened to the sound of a #leaf#blower.  I arose, dressed, and scurried outside to confer with my yardman because it was the wrong day and hour for mowing.  He informed me that his schedule was changed as he had to go out of town.    As I return inside to get a cup of coffee to sip, take a seat, and then slip on my reading glasses so I can see the Word  from my Bible,  I start sneezing!  My glasses slip off -I put them on -ah-chew – off – sneeze – I saw the lights!  This goes on and on.   My eyes are watering, ears are itching, my nose is running, my heart is fluttering, and the tissues are flying.  I get up head to the bathroom to brush the pollen out of my hair and wash my hands and face.   I then refresh my cup of coffee, return to my chair, and resume my time with God’s Word.  I carefully place the reading glasses over my nose so my eyes can read the written words of the Bible.  My eyes, nose, and ears are still itchy, but I will not touch them as I open the page to Psalm 33:13,18;34:15  “THE LORD LOOKS FROM HEAVEN”  –  “Behold, the EYE OF THE LORD IS UPON THEM THAT FEAR HIM,  UPON THEM THAT HOPE IN HIS MERCY”  –  “THE EYES OF THE LORD ARE UPON THE RIGHTEOUS, AND HIS EARS ARE OPEN UNTO THEIR CRY”  Have you ever felt the presence of the LIVING GOD as you sit in chaos?

Confidence in the Christian Life

How can we know that we are #saved for #eternity?  How do we follow Christ and have confidence in our salvation?  What does it have to do with our past, present, and future?  What kind of confession covers our past?  What assurances have we been given to get us through the present?  Are there new temptations coming our way that nobody has overcome before?  What does all of this mean for our future?

What’s That Roar?

Have you ever heard a #lion #roar?  I don’t mean an #imitation on tv or the computer.  I mean #live and in person.  It is powerful and you can feel it shake your whole body.  What can we learn about God from this amazing story about Amos?  Where does this roar come from?  Why is the roar being heard?  Is it a lack of church attendance or sacrificial giving or is it something more basic like turning their backs on God and treating others poorly?  Do you remember what Jesus said the two most important commandments are?  Does God judge the actions of men or the motivation?  How many of these sins being committed by these ancient nations can we see being done today?  How do we put human tradition ahead of divine instruction?  What is the only way to flee from God?
