What #punishment was too terrible for a citizen of #Rome but applied anyway to the #SonofGod? The crucifix was the reserved for the worst criminals at the time. What were the reactions of the two men on either side of Jesus on the cross? How similar are the reactions to Jesus Christ today? Which of the two men identifies your response to the Lord’s invitation? If being good or doing good deeds saved us in the afterlife (they don’t) how could the one thief who repented gain salvation?

I have enjoyed watching the #Olympics lately and ignoring the #politics. But iIn these #TurbulentTimes have you ever met someone who didn’t know enough to be concerned? The people surrounding the cross were crying for the wrong reason. How surprising and different were the last words of this man on the cross? When do you take time to lift up a prayer? How long would it take you or me to forgive someone who nailed us to a cross? How long did it take Jesus? Was He just praying for those in His immediate vicinity?

What was about to be taken from Jesus that will never be taken from us?

Speaking of contradiction, what was Judas thinking when he betrayed the Son of God after spending years with Him? Were the other disciples right to ask, is it I? Was Judas’ betrayal a surprise to Jesus? Did Judas even have a choice in what he did? What motivated Judas to betray the Lord? What lessons can we take away from his experience? How did Jesus respond to Judas, not just that day but throughput his discipleship, knowing full well what would happen eventually? How much money did Judas receive and ironically from where did it come?

In this #ego driven world, everyone is struggling to be #NumberOne, to have others serve them. But what example did our Lord give us during the last week before His crucifixion and resurrection? What significance did the Lord’s Supper and its timing have? Few things make me feel worse than seeing someone i love and respect do something for me that i should have done for them. Imagine how the disciples felt when they were busy discussing their right hand status and the Lord knelt at their feet. What was the significance of the washing of the disciple’ feet? What must have gone through Judas’ mind when this happened?
